Long-time North Oaks Executive Management Team
Members Brian Hannah and Michele Sutton Take On
New Roles for the Health System

Brian Hannah and Michele Sutton, who have been members of the senior management team of North Oaks for nearly 2 decades, have taken on new roles with the health system in a recent reorganization.
Effective March 17, Brian Hannah became Facility Development and Project Management Officer, and Michele Sutton became Operations Officer for North Oaks Medical Center.
According to North Oaks Chief Executive Officer James E. Cathey Jr., the reorganization was prompted by the outcome of a reassessment of North Oaks’ short-term and long-term goals following Hurricane Katrina.
“As part of that re-evaluation, we looked at community needs and concluded that our facilities’ development plans must be expedited,” Cathey explains. “Over the next 5 years, North Oaks is scheduled to invest almost $200 million in new facilities and special projects. Some examples on the campus of North Oaks Medical Center include the new fourth and fifth floors, a new women’s tower, a new medical office building, creation of North Oaks Drive to tie Emergency Services Drive to Club Deluxe Road, and a 450-space parking garage.”
“The decision to expedite our development plans prompted us to evaluate our current organizational structure to see if it was right for our current and future challenges,” Cathey continues. “Our conclusion was that we needed to create a new officer position, which Brian Hannah has accepted, with the sole focus of facility management and projects, including the oversight of our Construction Department. This opportunity enabled us to further streamline operations and promote Michele Sutton to Operations Officer for North Oaks Medical Center.”
