North Oaks Family Medicine in Walker to Move

North Oaks Family Medicine Clinic in Walker is relocating to a new, larger facility to enhance patient care and comfort.

Patient care will begin in the new location at 28799 Walker S. Road, Suite 1 (between Brian Park Dr. and Cambre Lane) on Tuesday, May 27.

The clinic’s phone number also will change to (225) 664-4398 on May 27.

Led by Livingston Parish native DeSha Folgar, MD, the clinic specializes in health care for the entire family, including: management of short- and long-term illnesses, routine screenings, well and sick child care, annual physical exams, breast exams, pelvic exams/Pap smears, prostate/PSA tests and minor skin procedures. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. Most insurances, cash, personal checks and major credit cards are accepted.

North Oaks Family Medicine Clinic first opened in Walker in August 2007 in space shared with North Oaks Specialty Clinic, which will remain located in Southside Plaza (Suite N) next to North Oaks Walk-In Clinic (Suite L).
