North Oaks Clinic to Host CPR Class in Walker
North Oaks Clinic and North Oaks Community Education’s certified American Heart Association instructors will host a Heartsaver Automated External Defibrillator (AED) CPR class for the general public on Tuesday, July 29 from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The class will take place at the Livingston Parish Literacy and Technology Center, located at 9261 Florida Boulevard in Walker, as part of North Oaks Clinic’s ongoing “Especially for You” health education series in partnership with Southeastern Louisiana University.
Participants will have the opportunity to practice the American Heart Association’s lifesaving techniques, including choking prevention, rescue breathing and CPR for adults, children and infants. Certified Proper AED usage also will be demonstrated. Upon successful completion of the class, a 2-year certification card will be awarded.
The course fee is $15 per person, payable on the day of the class. Cash and personal checks will be accepted.
