William G. Plunkett, MD, Joins Northshore Internal Medicine Associates

William G. Plunkett, MD, is joining the practice of Northshore Internal Medicine Associates, a clinic of North Oaks Health System.

Dr. Plunkett is certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has practiced medicine for 24 years, 19 of which have been in Louisiana.

“I moved out of state after Hurricane Katrina and didn’t realize how much I missed home until I had an opportunity to return. I look forward to providing primary care services to this community,” Dr. Plunkett shares.

A graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Va., Dr. Plunkett completed his post-graduate training at University of South Florida in Tampa. Along with Drs. Susan Zacharia, Charles R. Ducombs, Anthony E. Zerangue and Jay Kumar, Dr. Plunkett specializes in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of medical conditions and preventive care for adults. This includes difficult-to-diagnose medical conditions and the management of multiple health concerns.

Northshore Internal Medicine Associates is located at 15770 Paul Vega, MD Drive, Suite 108, Hammond. Clinic hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
