Dr. Jay Kumar Joins Northshore Internal Medicine Associates in Hammond

Internist Jay Kumar, MD, of Hammond has joined the practice of Northshore Internal Medicine Associates in Hammond. He will begin seeing patients on Monday, October 1, 2007.

Prior to joining Northshore Internal Medicine Associates,
Dr. Kumar practiced medicine in the Greensburg community for 6 years. For the past year, he also served on the staff of North Oaks Walk-In Clinic in Walker.

Along with fellow Northshore Internal Medicine Associates Drs. Charles Ducombs, Susan Zacharia and Anthony Zerangue, Dr. Kumar specializes in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of medical conditions and preventative care for adolescents and adults. Additional areas of expertise for Northshore Internal Medicine Associates include: difficult-to-diagnose medical conditions, management of multiple health concerns and preventative care.

Dr. Kumar is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and belongs to the American College of Physicians and American Medical Association.

The medical office of Northshore Internal Medicine Associates is located in Hammond at 2101 Robin Ave. in Suite 5 of Hammond Park Professional Building. Appointments are available on weekdays between the hours of 8 a.m. and
