A Time to Remember…North Oaks Hospice Memory Tree

Alyson Lapuma of Loranger and her granddaughter, Maggie Clay, place an ornament in memory of Lapuma’s late father on the North Oaks Hospice Memory Tree on Wednesday, Dec. 13. Bobby Cutrer was a Hospice patient prior to his passing on Aug. 27, 2006.
An annual holiday tradition in the community since 1992, the Memory Tree is part of the North Oaks Bereavement Program for family members and caregivers of deceased Hospice patients. It is a time when they can share their memories with North Oaks Hospice staff members who helped enhance their loved ones’ quality of life in the final phases of their terminal illnesses.
Hospice is a special kind of care given in the home that provides support in a sensitive manner for patients with a terminal illness. The North Oaks Hospice team focuses on the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of the patient and emphasizes the importance of the patient’s quality of life.
If you know someone coping with a terminal illness in need of Hospice care, call North Oaks Hospice at (985) 230-7620 for further information or to schedule a complimentary evaluation.
