Physicians Announce 2007 Medical Executive Committee for North Oaks Rehabilitation Hospital
Four area physicians have been selected by their peers to the North Oaks Rehabilitation Hospital Medical Executive Committee for 2007. Those officers will act as liaisons between the Medical Staff and North Oaks Board of Commissioners.

Serving as Chief-of-Staff and Chairman of the Executive Committee is Physiatrist Randolph L. Roig, MD. He earned his medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine, New Orleans. Dr. Roig completed his internship, residency and fellowship at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. He joined the North Oaks Medical Staff in 1996 and is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Medicine and Spinal Cord Injury Medicine.

Vice-Chief-of-Staff is Family Practitioner Gerald J. Sparks, MD. He earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans, and completed his internship and residency at D.D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Ft. Gordon, Georgia. Dr. Sparks has been a member of the North Oaks Medical Staff since 1998, and is certified by the American Board of Family Practice.

Members-at-Large include Family Practitioner Steve L. Gaudin, MD, and Orthopedic Surgeon Robert T. McAfee, MD. Dr. Gaudin earned his medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine, New Orleans. He completed his internship and residency at University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Gaudin has been a member of the North Oaks Medical Staff since 1996 and is certified by the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. McAfee earned his medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his internship at Charity Hospital and his residency at Tulane Medical Center, both in New Orleans. Dr. McAfee joined the North Oaks Medical Staff in 1984 and is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
