Dugas Selected as North Oaks Physician of the Year for 2006

B. Forrest Dugas, MD, of Hammond has been selected as North Oaks Health System’s 2006 Physician of the Year.

The Medical Executive Committees for North Oaks Medical Center and North Oaks Rehabilitation Hospital accepted nominations for the award from North Oaks employees, volunteers and physicians.

Some of the comments submitted on nomination forms for Dr. Dugas included:

• “There is no better example of a North Oaks Physician. He is passionate about the hospital and the care he delivers to his patients.”
• “He serves as a great mentor.”
• “He is someone you can talk to who listens. My family thinks the world of him.”
• “He always has a smile and a greeting whenever he sees you.”

A member of the North Oaks medical staff since July 1983, Dr. Dugas practices with General Surgeon Daniel Linarello, MD, in Hammond. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Medicine in New Orleans where he also completed his internship and residency training. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery.
