North Oaks Employees and Volunteers Mark Holiday Season with Annual Collection Drive for those in Need
North Oaks Health System employees and volunteers collected a combined total of nearly 4,000 toys, food items and cell phones during their annual holiday “Spirit of Giving” collection drive for those in need.
Items collected were donated to the following five organizations for distribution: Cell Phones for Life Inc., which refurbishes cell phones for battered women, the elderly and disabled; the Christmas Crusade for Children, sponsored by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office; the Quad Area Community Action Agency Inc. of Livingston Parish; Santa Bear Crusade for Children, sponsored by the Daily Star and Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office; and the Tangi Food Pantry.
Nearly 50 departments of North Oaks Health System participated in the “Spirit of Giving” collection drive held December 1-16.
