Clinic Welcomes Ponchatoula Teams at "Meet the Teams" Event

The North Oaks Orthopedic Clinic staff hosted a “Meet The Teams” grand opening on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at their new office in Ponchatoula.

The celebration formally introduced the Clinic’s “team,” led by Dr. Roderick Chandler, an orthopedic surgeon, to the public.  It also featured special appearances by Coach Scott Martin and the Ponchatoula High School Football Team, as well as performances by the school’s spirit organizations, including the band, the cheerleaders, the flag corps and the dance team.  A ribbon cutting ceremony with the Ponchatoula Chamber of Commerce rounded out the program.

“Ponchatoula football is excited about the start of our upcoming season.We’re equally comforted with the knowledge that the North Oaks Orthopedic Clinic has decided to open an office in our community. Dr. Chandler and his staff are already working closely with us and with our athletes. We hope this is the beginning of a long partnership between our student-athletes and the new Ponchatoula facility,” commented Coach Martin.

Following the program, guests toured the new clinic and participated in grip strength contests to recognize the “Strongest Man and Woman” in attendance.

The North Oaks Orthopedic Clinic, which opened in July 2006, treats patients of all ages with disorders of the bones, joints and muscles.  It features a procedure room and utilizes advanced digital X-ray technology with viewing stations in each exam room. 

According to Clinic Director Regina Scott, “Additional need for orthopedic care is evident in the community, and the North Oaks Orthopedic Clinic will be a welcome resource to our patients and the North Oaks staff.”
